Geena B. & Rufus are an internationally active songwriter and artist duo from Neumarkt. Their music has been known far beyond the country's borders for years. Their songs are played on radios in Europe, Australia and the USA. Their songs, which they mainly write, record, produce and promote themselves, deal with topics such as social grievances, deceleration, sustainability and values that cannot be bought. Following the success of their first album "White Mice" (2021), the two artists and hemp entrepreneurs released their second studio album "Echoes From The Fields" in June 2023. This was partly recorded and self-produced at Nomoss Record Studios in Hamburg and in a lost room in a 450-year-old house in Italy.
The latest album SINNERS, SAINTS & VALENTINES was recorded in summer/autumn 2023
and will be released by the two musicians' own label Stuyberg Records
published by their own label. At the concert evening in the Carambolage, Geena B. & Rufus and their band will present the songs from SINNERS, SAINTS & VALENTINES live and exclusively. The CD will be officially released in February 2024.
The songs have the sound of the raw Americana folk genre. This sound is characterised by delicate harmonies on a scratchy background. Can you imagine a wild orchid on a brittle asphalt floor? It sounds like this!
