Everything started already in the last century, more precisely in 1999, when the idea arose to present the best musical highlights in the magic ambience of a warm summer night at Lake Caldaro. It was the birth of the "Lake Stage Performance" (Kalterer Seespiele, in German), which developed from a musical and opera based event to a today widely known yearly music highlight. The unique atmosphere around these concerts is invigorating.

On three evenings in July and August - one per week - the "Lake Stage Performance" presents international stars such as Nena, Bonnie Tyler or Uriah Heep with its hymn "Look at Yourself" as well as regional artists and newcomers. The Seebad Lido bathing establishment in San Giuseppe al Lago, in which swimmers, sun lovers and surfers enjoy the summer days, becomes South Tyrol's only lake stage at night. In this occasion, the shores of the warmest bathing lake of the Alps are filled with a sea of lights. Tickets are, by the way, available from May - and they are much sought-after...
