Between Nalles and Salorno, there are some places with a long history to tell. Besides many castles, residences and museums, the South Tyrolean Wine Road features also special spots such as the Mendola Funicular, once the steepest funicular railway throughout Europe, or the San Giacomo in Kastelaz Church with its hybrid creatures, half-human and half-animal.
