Special places and buildings, from the “Garden of Yearning” near Salorno to the Bolzano Cathedral, are well-worth a visit

Between Nalles and Salorno, there are some places with a long history to tell. Besides many castles, residences and museums, the South Tyrolean Wine Road features also special spots such as the Mendola Funicular, once the steepest funicular railway throughout Europe, or the St. James in Kastelaz Church with its hybrid creatures, half-human and half-animal.
