Every year in April, Caldaro invites you to a hike through the spring-like landscape: this is the "Caldaro Wine Excursion Day". When the fruit trees are in blossom and the vines show their first shoots, the Wine Road offers ideal temperatures for a leisurely walk. From one wein.kaltern partner winery to the next, you will be inspired by wine tastings and exhibitions, insights into the cellars and culinary delights.

The hike itself follows the wein.weg path (wine.trail), a project of wein.kaltern, which is intended to give all wine lovers and interested parties an understanding of the Caldaro vineyards and wine landscape. Each bar - that's how the individual vineyards are called - is marked by a threshold of white limestone on the ground, on which its name is written in metal letters. The excursion leads from the village centre to Lake Caldaro and the Caldaro Winery, which organises a farmers' market in the courtyard of its winecenter. Children will also get their money's worth.
