On a Saturday between April and May, wine experts and wine enthusiasts meet at the Raiffeisen Forum in the historic Lanserhaus estate in Appiano for a special event: the "Day of Wine Appiano", one of the first official tasting events in the annual calendar. Excellent wines and exquisite culinary delights are the focus of the event, which attracts wine lovers from near and far and is organised by the Appiano Wine Club. Above all, of course, it is all about the quality wines of Appiano.

About 20 wine producers from Appiano present their best products: Among them are the wineries of San Paolo, San Michele and Cornaiano as well as the vineyards of Englaro Castle, Residence Gandberg or Colterenzio. Sometimes some guest wineries from the surrounding villages are invited to participate. The programme changes from year to year and is rounded off by special events such as exhibitions, a sparkling wine matinée or the "Miniculinaria" with regional quality products.
