In South Tyrol, customs and traditions play a big role. One of the reasons for that might be the fact that German speaking South Tyroleans, an ethnic minority in Italy, don’t want to lose their original identity. Therefore, they put a big emphasis on traditional costumes and events, religious customs and of course on typical South Tyrolean products.
Two particularly popular South Tyrolean products are the Loden cloth and the Angels of Bolzano.
