A wonderful walk through sunny meadows to the Corno del Renon, one of the most panoramic mountain of South Tyrol
Image gallery: Hike from Tre Sentieri to the Corno del Renon
Our hike starts from the “Tre Sentieri” valley station (Germ: Pemmern), 1,533 metres a.s.l. From the parking area the best way to reach the Corno del Renon is following the path no. 7, passing through an artificial basin for the irrigation. In 40 minutes walking we reach the village Grissmann where we find a perfect café for our break enjoying the view and sipping an excellent cup of coffee.
We take now the path no. 2, which stretches along scented meadows, neat farmsteads and quite pasturing cows. We set off for the path no. 2A and we come to the refuges “Felturner Hütte” and “Corno di Sotto”, here we follow the path no.1 which takes us up to the Corno del Renon, 2,259 metres. At the refuge Corno del Renon we have our lunch with a delicious soup and then we are ready to return to our starting point. We choose to take the cableway to reach the valley station, but it is obviously possible to walk down to the station (signpost no.1, 19).
