In almost every village on the South Tyrolean Wine Road there are tennis courts open to the public
Once upon a time tennis was considered a rich persons' sport, so to speak for upper class people. In the meantime, it has proven itself as a popular sport and is practised enthusiastically by many people. Since 1988 tennis has been an Olympic discipline.
