Villa di Mezzo is the village of Caldaro that is the fastest growing. It borders to the village centre and is therefore a very popular place to live. In the historic centre, there are two castles and several residences and mansions that provide a romantic touch to the village. Castel Sallegg and Castel Campan are both inhabited and can therefore only be visited from outside. The church in the village is dedicated to S. Caterina and dates back to the 15th and 16th century.
The little village centre, away from the crowd on the market square, has its own dynamics and is becoming increasingly popular.
