Located at 800 m a.s.l. at a sunny high plateau above the Val d'Adige valley, Corona is a panoramic picturesque village. In fact, due to its geographic position, Corona is also referred to as the "crown" (Italian: corona) of this area. The best view on it can be enjoyed from the Sitzkofel viewpoint, near the S. Giorgio Church. The view ranges up to the peaks of the Dolomites.
Like in the village of Niclara, also in Corona there are legendary sites such as the mysterious ring signs of the archaic period, their origins are not yet clear. By the way: Corona and the forest in the surroundings are ideal for a pleasant walk.
