The main sights of the village are on the one hand the 75 m high church steeple of the parish church and the church itself with its frescoes, on the other hand the ruins of Neuhaus Castle.
Hikers' hearts leap for joy in Terlano, where pleasant walking trails for spring and autumn can be experienced on foot, leading e.g. to the Tschirglhof farms and the Knappenkapelle chapel (cappella dei minatori) at the former silver mine. Via the Margareth broad-walk, within half an hour only, you reach the ancient Maultasch ruin. In summertime we recommend you to drive up the Meltina road to the Salto, where extended larch meadows and Alpine pastures such as Lavenna make those hearts' leap for joy that love nature.
Terlano is an ideal place to stay at if you seek varied holidays. The cycle track along the Adige, the MeBo road and the regional train provide for comfortable connections to Bolzano and Merano.
